With summer quickly approaching, HYPE is going to give the River a face lift, so we can enjoy those sunny days down at Pony Pasture and Belle Isle.

We all know how much fun it has been getting to meet people through various social and professional events presented by HYPE. Now it is time to shift gears and put our eager bodies to work for one of Richmond’s best resources, the James River.

This is a chance to give back to the Greater Richmond community through volunteering your time and enthusiasm for only a few hours. The more people we have, the greater our impact!

Come join us for HYPE’s first community outreach project, May 10th from 9 am to 1 pm, as we participate in various projects sponsored by James River Park System. Projects will include painting the legs of Lee Bridge, replacing boards on the picnic tables, cutting trees to create a better view to the river, and digging dirt and flooding debris from walkways.

All HYPE participants and friends are welcome, but please confirm your attendance through Hands on Greater Richmond. We have a limited number of spots available as we want to make sure everyone has something to do. There will be more details, such as what to wear, what to bring, and where to meet on the website. We look

forward to connecting with you!
